Kim advises CEOs, boards, and private equity investors on leadership and critical talent issues. As an advisor, board director and operating partner, she serves leadership and investors of businesses ranging from series A to C SaaS companies to Fortune 500 corporations on topics such as management assessment, leadership development and coaching, scaling culture and organizational change.
Previously, Kim built her career at ghSMART and the Boston Consulting Group. In addition to her advisory work with clients, at ghSMART Kim co-led the CEO Genome Project™– a leading research program and client practice focused on CEOs. The CEO Genome Project™ is featured in a cover article of Harvard Business Review. Kim also co-authored the New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestseller, The CEO Next Door (Crown Publishing, 2018).
Prior to ghSMART, at the Boston Consulting Group, Kim was a senior principal and senior knowledge expert, focused on driving transformational change and corporate strategy for Fortune 500 clients. Kim has supported clients in many industries, including consumer products and services, technology, travel and tourism, industrial goods, financial services and the nonprofit sector. She led teams that assisted clients in creating and executing growth strategies, restructuring, turning around operational performance, building high performance cultures, maintaining high employee engagement and change management.
She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a BA in History and French and earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
