Christopher Blackwell

Chris is a seasoned finance and investment executive with a wealth of experience gained from a successful career as a global investment banking leader and private equity professional.

He has acted as a valued partner to many North American and Asian companies as they have sought to raise capital or undertake transformative transactions. Today, Chris serves as a Head of Investment Banking for Canaccord Genuity, a leading global middle-market investment bank, where he oversees all non-resource related Canadian Investment Banking activities. Prior to Canaccord, Chris served as group leader and Managing Director of the Diversified Industries and Sponsor coverage for both CIBC and Scotia Bank. In addition to significant experience in the North American market, Chris also lived with his family in Hong Kong while leading the CIBC World Markets investment bank for Asia. Between 2013 and 2017, Chris was a Partner at Access Holdings.

Chris holds an Honors Business Administration degree from the Ivey Business School at The University of Western Ontario and a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
